The children of Ghana, especially those outside of the capital city, do not have toys. Most Ghanaian children have never even seen store-bought toys. The only toys available to these children are those they make themselves. One of the most popular "toys" children here play with is bottle caps. They are colorful, easy to find, and most importantly - free. Children in Ghana collect and trade bottle caps much like American children do with baseball or Yu-Gi-Oh cards. They even play games with them similar to table football. These wine stoppers were made with bottle caps from Ghana. The proceeds from your purchase will go directly to the Future Leaders of Ghana student exchange program and Hardt Haven Children's Home, which houses children who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
